Continuing upward along the Basin Peak trail.  There were patches of tree cover along several portions of the trail.

The trail took a long (seemingly unnecessary) switchback to the north before turning back to scale the ridge.  I might have headed on a more direct route, but visibility in the storm was extremely poor.
