By a complete stroke of luck, I hit the Ocean View Summit within 5 minutes of sunset. The summit was about 10 yards off trail.

Junction of the Dool and Middle Ridge roads. I had originally planned on taking Dool, but I had underestimated exactly how dark the redwood forest would be after sunset and how easy it would be to lose the trail. Instead I opted to take Middle Ridge road back to Gazos Creek Road, which was about a quarter mile longer but came with substantially lower risk of me wandering around lost in the dark. Got back to the car a little after 6 after 10 hours on the trail.
