Fire ring at Bear Basin Camp.  I had my only real routefinding difficulty trying to locate the trail out of the camp.  (directly opposite the inbound route)

I hadn't looked at the Topo closely and wasn't expecting the uphill leg to the Bear Basin Connector.  For awhile, I wondered if I had missed the junction (shown here) and was actually on the connector itself.  My fears turned out to be unfounded.

The oaks had recently dropped their leaves, leaving some slippery footing.  Took a spill onto my butt at one point on this stretch.
