 Berry Creek Falls

My brother was on a business trip to Carmel and had a free afternoon, so we headed up to nearby Big Basin for the loop from park HQ to the waterfalls.

A prior trip on this route can be found here and a trip to the falls from the Waddell Beach park entrance can be found here.

Top of the first ridge and the beginning of the decent down to the Waddel Creek basin. The sign claims "6 hour trip, Strenuous Hike" which is a bit conservative.

The trail was well maintained, and any downed trees were cut to avoid blocking the trail.

Saw our first banana slug about midway down to the Timms Creek junction. (left and slightly above where he's aiming the camera). There were lots of slugs out today.
