Very green clearing in the vicinity of Turner Meadow. Lots of corn lillies in the meadows in this area.

Junction of the trail to Wawona and the loop portion of my route. On my last trip, I had gone clockwise around the loop. Today I decided to go counterclockwise and expand the loop to include Chilnualna Falls.

A brief glimpse of Buena Vista Peak in the distance. My route today would eventually take me around this peak, but for now it was southward.

Steadily downhill for a few miles following an unnamed tributary of Chilnualna Creek.

Looking down at the top of upper Chilnualna Falls. Still early in the season, but the falls were already pretty dry.
