Royal Arch Lake, one of the more picturesque backcountry lakes. Had to stop and put some more Deet on as the skeeters were beginning their evening feeding.

I was suprised to see an active creek this close to the pass, but this stream was still flowing. There were some suprisingly large minnows swimming in the pool.

Reasonably uninteresting Buena Vista Pass. No sign marked the pass itself- the trail just gradually topped out and started heading back down.
