I could smell the campfires from the campground at this point and I arrived a the first of the 39 campsites shortly after this point.

It was unclear where the trail went after reaching the campsite, so I headed out in what seemed to be the correct direction. This took me downhill from the campsite toward the campfire complex.

There were no signs leading from the campfire complex and I continued down what I hoped was the right trail. Soon came across this "Six Bridges" trailsign, indicating that I was indeed headed in the right direction. Ankle really hurting at this point.

First of the 6 bridges on the Six Bridges trail. This was after a fairly steep downsection. The trail would cross a road and then head up the opposite bank.
