I passed by the Hole in the Ground trail on the return and the half mile up to Andesite was too tempting to pass up.

The trail was apparently a heavy mountain bike route and had frequent erosion protection.

Passing through some pines as the trail took an excessive amount of switchbacks to reach the peak.
