The junction of the Westridge trail where it ended at Chalks road at a small flat below the summit. Bit of a view to the south, but the ocean was out of sight.

A little but up from the trail junction flat, there was a spur road that lead to the Chalk Mountain overlook. The summit was ~50 yards up the trail.

Stopped to make use of the "outhouse on top of the world". (One of the better views from a toilet seat). There was a dedication to the trail crew that installed the toilet seat.

Continuing north on Chalks Road. The recent storms had left quite a lot of debris on the road.

The original junction of Chalks Road and the Westridge trail. (You can see where they changed the Waddell Beach arrow on the sign). Headed up the trail to see if I could see why they rerouted it.

This washed out section was likely the reason for the decomissioning of the trail. Besides this short section, the remainder of the trail was in good shape and had nice views to the south. Somone had been on the trail recently on horseback.
