Almost down to the saddle between North and South Chalone Peaks. The trail headed off to the left, but the use trail following the fence looked to be a more direct route to the top.

The rounded top of South Chalone Peak was a bit disappointing. There wasn't much on the summit itself and the vegetation blocked the view. Headed back down to the fence and followed it around to the south side of the peak.
