The northern edge of the fog started blowing off as the morning progressed.

Followed the pig fence around to the back side of the peak.

I thought about bushwhacking over to the highpoint, but plowing through a chamise thicket w/o long sleeves and gloves didn't sound too appealing.

Found a break in the brush around the eastern side of the peak. Not much to see other than this halfhearted cairn.

One of the few spots on the trail where the Bear Gulch reservoir was visible. (There was a condor drafting in the canyon as well, the only one I'd see today. Its barely visible in the full size pic, to the left and above the reservior)

One of the more interesting rock formations on the return trip.

Back to the reservoir. Considered heading up to the Peaks but decided to call it a day and headed back down to my car.
