Only car in the trailhead this morning. I had gotten into the main reservoir parking lot around 10 and holed up for the night. As is typical for the second night of a trip, I slept quite well. In the mornng, I drove the last few miles from the parking lot to the Cliff Lake trailhead.

The clearings were snow free at this elevation, but the snow started up again when back under tree cover.

There was a log causeway passing a marshy area down near the water. The remains of an older causeway off were off to the left of the main path.

The trail bottomed off a few yards away from the reservoir shoreline before heading uphill in a northwesterly direction away from the water
