 Clouds Rest
Topo of the 14 mile out-and-back route for today. This was my first trip back to Yosemite since breaking my ankle 14 weeks ago near the Vernal Falls bridge.

Hit the trail around 9 after the (almost exactly) 200 mile drive from Mountain View to the trailhead. No problems crossing Tenaaya Creek this morning.

Very dry in the park today. The trail paralleled the creek for about a mile before turning uphill to switchback up the ridge.

Looking out towards Olmstead point from a bit up the switchbacks. Headed up and over the Sunrise Ridge without much of a break, ankle feeling quite good today.

Dropping down into the first of three bowls in the valley beyond the ridge. Looking up at Sunrise Peak, which loomed to the left for this leg of the trip.
