After Vicente Flat, the trail followed the creek up the canyon amidst the redwoods.

View of the Vicente Flat trailhead saddle at the top of the trail. From the topo, it looks like the trail once ran down the left side of this shot, but the current trail crossed over to the far side of Hare Canyon and then swiched back.
