 Saturday
Morning in Kennedy Canyon. Camped near the cabin a little bit downstream from the lake. Woke once around 1am to what I initially thought was a car headlight shining on the side of the tent. It turned out to merely be an extremely bright full moon rising over the horizen. :). Sunrise was about 6am

Heading down toward Kennedy Lake as the sun rose near the head of Kennedy Canyon. (The rising sun making it extremely difficult to get properly exposed photos). In the gap on the left, you can see the snowfield covering Horse Meadow Road on its way up to Big Sam.

Following the use path across the marshy meadow. Made it all of about 10 minutes before making a wrong step and ending up with my right foot shin deep in muck. Sigh.

Approaching Kennedy Lake with Big Sam on the far side. There was a doe with an extremely young fawn hiding in the thicket as I skirted the north shore of the lake. They bounded off before I could get may camera out.

After passing Kennedy Lake, the trail climbed up the right (north) side of canyon to avoid the marshy area east of the lake.
