The maintenance structure for the dam, located just before the junction with the Kennedy Creek trail. From there it was a final 2 mile tromp back to the trailhead and some cold Gatorade from the resort store.

Decending into the Middle Emigrant Lake valley. Brown Bear Pass lies at the far side of the valley at the border between the Quartzite southern ridge and the Volcanic mountains to the north. The blur in the top right is a mosquito that flew in front of the camera.

Panoramic shot of the flat hot bottom of Emigrant Meadow. Somewhat hard to see in this pic, but Emigrant Meadow Lake lies at the foot of the mountains. There were a couple of minor creek crossings along the valley floor.
