Lake Mead Blvd ascended to a saddle between Frenchman and Sunrise Mountians. The trailhead (with parking for a half dozen or so vehicles) was near the apex of the summit.

The Frenchman ridge has some interesting geology. (The strata in the area is the same as the rocks at the bottom of the Grand Canyon- but most notable rocks in the lowlands appeared to be beer bottle glass.)
