The trail leveled off a bit after reaching the ridgetop. Suprisingly little in the way of mosquitos today.

Junction with the PCT atop the ridge. Right turn heads toward Tinker Knob and Donner Pass. Left turn and 1 1/2 mile to Granite Chief.

The view across to Squaw Peak and the ski runs above High Camp. (And the Shirley Lake lift heading up from the intervening valley)

Switchingbacking up the rocky slope under the Granite Chief ski lift. This is a black diamond lift and I hadn't been up this way on my ski trips to Squaw.

This unsigned junction looked like the turnoff for the spur trial to the summit. (In actuality it was the spur trail to the top of the lift, the actual use trail was a couple yards further down the PCT)
