Shorly before Vado camp, the trail reached the South Fork of the Little Sur. The creek did not appear to be rock hoppable, but a down tree spanned the creek slightly upstream.

Crossed the creek on this fallen log using my hiking poles for balance. The log was about a foot over the surface of the water.

A second, non rock hoppable, crossing slightly upstream from the first. I wasn't in the mood for a round of Ventana creek leapfrogging and I didn't want to get my shoes wet, so I called it a day here and turned to retrace my steps back to Bottchers Gap.

Looking out from the Launtz Ridge, this firebreak (trail?) is clearly visible on the Skinner Ridge.

Almost back to the Little Sur trial junction now, at a brief section where the Little Sur trail traverses above the road to the water tanks.
