The hut was a pile of molten rubble.  Those planks had clearly been moved here post-fire and looked suspiciously like the planks from the lookout tower/tank.  From the footprints, I suspect that I wasn't the first one up here this season.  (The hut pre-fire: 2007 2005 2003)

This indentation was all that was left of the outhouse

Folks might want to avoid walking over that area for the next few seasons :)

The old road/firebreak leading up to the Bear/Pinyon ridge now quite clear.  Did this get reopened by the fire crews or is it just now visible due to the burn?
