The Foxgloves were in bloom and were found anywhere the pines allowed sunlight. Stinging nettles were also common along the trail and I got stung a couple of times. Ouch.

Field of foxglove. (and the only white foxglove that I saw all day). Foxglove are not native to California and have escaped to the wild from domestic gardens.

Jackass creek carving into the back end of the beach before emptying into the ocean. Low tide seen here, at high tide the ocean spills over into this section of the beach. Couple of campers at the back of the beack.
