The last bit of trail to the peak was the steepest and we were hit with a bit of a wind after reaching the ridgetop.

A lot of thought went into welding this contraption. The pipes were oriented in such a way that looking through them pointed out local landmarks. Part of the key placard was missing. San Francisco bay in the background.

The more serious photographers started setting up their tripods in preparation for the sunrise and the rest of us shuffled around trying to stay warm.

The next peaklet to the south had a substantial collection of transmitters (and is easy to spot from most of the south bay)
