The BSA troop caught me just as I was returning to the main trail.  Hiked with them back to the moraine lake (Hanging back with the fathers as the vanguard of 15 year olds raced ahead)

The BSA troop stopped at the lake for water and I headed back down into Tanglefoot canyon solo.  They would catch me again right as we got back to the trailhead.

The east side of the canyon would have been an absolute bitch to traverse w/o the trail.  Very steep and very overgrown.
