This section of trail was up out of the chapparal and the wildflowers started appearing. The reds were indian paintbrush, the orange are california poppies. Not sure what the yellows were but they were the most prevalent.

North Peak road pops into view as the Prospector Gap trail reached its apex and leveled out somewhat.

Joining the the North Peak road near the junction of the Prospector Gap trail and fire road. A right turn from here started up the mile long spur to Mt Diablo.
