Crossing a small Cold Stream tributary (the main stream had its origins in the snowfields near the Lola summit)

The trail took one long switchback on its way to the ridgetop. This portion of the trail deviated from the route on the topo, so I assume it was a recent rerouting.

Up atop the ridge. Though that bump through the trees on the left might be the summit, but it was just a large rock bump.

Beginning the final steep push higher along the summit ridge. Some late summer snowfields visible up ahead (that seemed to partially be the origin of Cold Stream)

Passing the rock bump that I had mistaken for the summit. Nice view to the south now towards Donner Pass.

The summit finally comes into view. Passed a mountain biker near here.

Atop Lola, 9143 feet. Nice view Castle and Basin Peaks to the south. (Had climbed both earlier in the month)

The trail continued over the peak and down toward White Rock Lake, but this was my destination.
