Starting up the long loose scree slope. Slow going.

Up to the ridgetop a half hour later and a right turn for the last 1/3 mile to the summit. Much easier going up on the ridge.

This was my only snow trouble today and took a bit to skirt around it. It had a hard crust on my ascent that took a bit to kick steps into- on my way back it had slushed up.

The trail approached the cliff band and then headed left to a chute about 1/4 mile distant.

The aforementioned class 2-3 chute. There was a bit of ice left in it- but not enough to cause difficulties.
