From a little further up the ridgetop, one could see up canyon to Kennedy Lake. Behind the lake is Big Sam, and to the right of the lake is Kennedy Peak, Molo Mountain, and Soda Canyon.

Over to the saddle, about to head up to one of the several short class 3 sections along the ridgetop. The rock was volcanic and crumbly.

Summit registry on the 1st ridge highpoint. Relief Reservoir in the background. Registry was an old glass Tang jar. Was a bit suprised to find a registry here, since the topo appeared to mark the end of the ridge as the peak.

The registry dated back to May 1971 (shortly before I was born). The first entry was this log by Boy Scout Troop 65. There were only 8 more entries in the intervening 33 years.
