 Night Cap Peak
Looking back at the highpoint with the registry from the highpoint at the edge of the ridge. Couldn't find a marker or registry on this highpoint. Clouds starting to roll in.

Looking down into the canyon between Night Cap and Blue Canyon. The mouth of this canyon is at Chipmunk flat.

View south down the slope I would take off the peak. ~2500 of elevation to shed. 9600ft Sharon lake is nestled in the bowl on the far side of the canyon.

At around 10k, the slope decended through a steep section that required some downclimbing. (Dislodged some rocks and gave myself a good clunk in the head during this section.)

Looking back up at the downclimb section and the scree field below it.

Has some misgivings about traversing the snow field, since there was a sizable snowmelt stream running underneath it. Stuck to the edges in the places where I did have to venture over it.

Looking back up to the ridge, wondering if this minor highpoint that I skirted around in the beginning was actually the peak. It does sort of look like a night cap from this angle.
