Descending from Mt Patterson and starting the traverse over to Wheeler.

The right (east) summit of Wheeler looked higher from this angle, but the western bump was actually the highpoint. Losing a bit of elevation in the dip along the ridge.

Little bit of lingering snow on the north slope of Wheeler.

Some more uphill as the ridge turned to the east.

Wheeler back in view with less than a mile to go to the summit. Still very very windy.

The mining road didn't go to the summit, so I needed to veer off cross country for the last third of a mile. Very easy terrain tho.

I was still thinking that the near (west) summit was the highpoint and had to course correct when I got a look at the east.

The western and true summit. Little bit of scree scrambling left.
