The trail split from the road shortly past the camp, to rejoin it a minute or two later.

Little Sur Trail junction. (Horrible exposure on this shot). Left goes to Jackson Camp. My route was right towards the Pico Blanco public camp.

Followed the Little Sur Trail to the top of the Launtz ridge. Pretty unrelentingly uphill section of trail. From here, a use trail headed off toward the Pico Blanco summit.

The white marble topped summit of Pico Blanco. It was turning out to be a nice clear day with temps in the mid 60s.

The use trail followed the ridge up to towards the peak. This was at one time a maintained trail or road, as there were signs of trail maintenance.

Theres a gully in between me and the peak, and I would been better off crossing it and heading directly peakward. Instead I angled to the right and was left with a quarter mile ridge traverse when I reached the top.

The ridgetop was covered in vegetation and was slow going. Took about 15 minutes to get from here over to the summit.
