Crawling through a pine thicket. Completely relying on my GPS at this point to route me to the saddle (vs. descending into the canyon on either side)

Down in the saddle ready to start up the side of Bear (into the rising sun). One of the numerous trail tags marked the route out of the clearing. (A decent amount of the trail tags remained from Dave, Dave, and Pauls trailblazing of this route 2 years back, and they were still quite useful)
