Like many of the High Sierra lakes- Lyons was dammed and deeper than it would have been naturally.

Starting up the slopes north of Lyons which were a pleasant series of smooth granite slabs and nicely talus free.

I continued up the canyon, eventually turning east to cross the headwaters of Lyons inlet creek and then took this ledge (ascending L to R) up to the bowl between Price/Agassiz.

I topped out closer to Agassiz so I opted to do this first. Agassiz is much less impressive from this angle than it is from the side.

There were folks atop Price who watched me ascend Agassiz. The had come up from Twin Lakes and departed before I made my way over to Price.

This small lake isn't on the Topo, but it was nestled at the base of Agassiz and drained down to Lyons Lake.
