Topo and route for today's 13mi, 3500ft gain outing from the Lyons Creek trailhead. I was last on this trail earlier in the month enroute to Pyramid.
Mt Price was my 47th OGUL peak (and the last one one within sight of the lake from that list)

The first 3-4 miles were a flat dry and mostly uninteresting parallel of Lyons Creek. (The creek was almost completely dry)

I was a bit surprised with how steep and indeterminate the initial trail up to Lyons Lake was. I lost it near the top and just scrambled the remainder of the distance to the lake.

The Lyons Creek trail quickly rose above the valley tree cover granting a view of Pyramid beyond. Lake Sylvia is beyond the trees at the base of the talus slope.
