Sweeping views to the north across the Pleasant Valley Creek watershed. Jeff Davis and Markleeville still visible. The Nipple slightly visible to the left of Jeff Davis and I believe thats Elephants Back on the horizen to its right.

The PCT made a long gradual switchback as it started climbing toward a low pass on the end of the ridge.

Through the pass, turning east to countour along the cliffs on a very picturesque PCT section above Pleasant Valley.

Looking back north toward the small pass.

And continuing south, winding high among the hillside above the canyon.

Contouring around another scenic side canyon. Thought that might be Raymond above, but it was just a low peak along the ridge north of Raymond.

Approaching the Raymond Lake outlet stream crossing. The PCT woud switchback up the slope beyond once across.

4 long switchbacks as the trail meandered up the slope. On the south facing switchbacks Raymond was now visible on the horizon. (Highpoint on the left)
