Parked in a turnout near Lower Sunset Lake, near where the PCT crosses the Sunset Lake Road. Could possibly have shaved a mile off of today's outing by starting from the nearby Wet Meadow trailhead, but this was fine. Late start this afternoon.

Just past the junction the trail crested a ridge and the west side of Raymond was visible across a valley. My route would be circling around to the opposite side. (The highpoint is on the right hump on the ridge)

Heading back uphill for the remainder of the outbound leg. Passed a couple fisherman, an equestrian, and a lone female thru-hiker. These would be the only folks I'd see today.
