Loose rotten gravely rock on much of the summit, but no real exposure and lots of hand/foot holds.

Atop the west (false) summit and looking over at the eastern summit which was a few feet higher. Started scrambling east along the ridge.

Looking at the East Summit from above the notch. Spent a fair amount of time deciding the best route over to the summit and eventually opted to descend slightly to the right on the steep gravelly slope. Thought the descent into the notch was far spicier than the climb to the summit (or the return climb back out of the notch)

Looking north from the Round Top summit. Lake Winnemucca below with the trails visible. Frog Lake, Red Lake Peak, and Carson Pass in the center, and (as usual) Tahoe and Freel/Jobs/Jobs Sister on the horizon.

Looking down at Round Top's east ridge. Jeff Davis Peak is the volcanic spire in the shadow in the center of the frame. Markleeville Peak to its left, The Nipple in front, and Raymond Peak behind it.
