 Saucer Meadow 
The trail climbed up the canyon and Relief Peak came into view on the far side of the valley.  The trail gained an extra couple hundred feet of elevation to clear a minor ridge, and then decended to rejoin the Huckleberry trail.

I was a bit worried about the creek crossing, since I couldn't remember if this route had a bridge or not.   It did have a bridge- this log that had been fitted with a railing on the downstream side.

There was a fair amount of snow cover on the slopes above the reservoir.  Snow in shaded areas was still holding my weight, but once the sun hit it was postholing time.
