This old collapsed mine shaft was near the Galena Saddle. Not sure what they were mining, but the ground was covered in greenish hued rock.

Past Siegel on my return leg, heading down into the valley beyond. A second group of wild horses is down and to the left.

Adhered to strictly to the ridgeline on the return and ended up with a painstaking talus descent. Would have been better to retrace my steps through the pass.

Lone Pine Canyon Road tantalizingly visible off in the distance, but a long tedious sidehill descent lied between it and where I was.

Back to the initial forested ridge, taking a more eastern approach to to descent.

A random wire that ran down much of the ridgeline. Not sure what it was originally for.

This slope was mostly dry pinyon pines, and they were pollenating. Every brush against them sent up clouds of pollen and I was covered in the stuff by the time I was done.

Back to the road with about a mile to go to get back to my car.
