Topo and GPS tracks for todays ~11 mile out and back along the Tahoe Rim Trail north out of Spooner Summit. About 2000ft of elevation gain on the route. This was peak #6 off of the OGUL list and is the Carson City, NV county highpoint.

Grabbed the last open parking space at the trailhead. Getting a late 1:30pm start this afternoon. This trailhead was across the highway from Monday's Duane Bliss Peak outing.

This section of TRT was gently graded to an absurd degree, often going hundreds of yards to avoid small bumps and dips.

One of the two "view" overlooks on this section of trail. Neither provided particularly great views. (Both had trees blocking the scenery)

The first couple miles resembled the Candyland board game- meandering and taking anything but a direct route to the north.

Red flagging off the trail to the west. I *think* this might have been pointing out a watersource downhill from the trail.

I thought this might be a first glimpse of Snow Valley, but its actually unnamed peak 8783 off to the east.

This *was* the first (and only) glimpse of Snow Valley from the southern approach- its in the background off to the left of the prominant foreground peak (Unnamed Peak 8992)
