Ski lift topped Mt Lincon was soon visible off to the right. I'd make the trip up to the Lincoln summit on my return leg.

The PCT headed up to the edge of Emigrant Canyon/Coldstream Valley and gave a first glimpse of Anderson Peak off to the south.

A lingering August snowfield that required a short dip to avoid.

First good glimpse of (L to R) Granite Chief, Needle Peak, and Lyons Peak to the south. I did the traverse of that ridge last week.

Dipping down and losing a depressing amount of elevation as the PCT continued south (sticking, for the most part, to the spine of the ridge)

Down in the saddle between Lincoln and Anderson, starting back uphill.

The trail up Anderson would climb the clear slope to the left, cut across the scree, and head up the chute in the center.
