Back to the road and climbing back up from the saddle.  The snow was solid enough to hold my weight in most places, but there was enough postholing to warrent avoiding the snow filled roadbed where possible.

Stopped off at the Patriarch Grove on the way back to take a look at the ancient bristlecone pines.  These trees are 1000-4000 years old.
