Topo of the route for today. Left from the gate in the south end of the map. Stopped somewhere 1/2-1 mile from the summit. Trailhead was at ~12k elevation

Looking up at the White Mountains from Rt 168 on the way to the trailhead.

The Barcroft Gate was closed, adding 4 miles round trip to today's route. It was about 30 degrees at the trailhead and there was quite a wind.

The road headed up steeply toward the research facility.

Approaching the Barcroft Research Facility. There didn't appear to be anyone out and about today as I headed past the complex.

Closer view of the sign at the research facility. There was a small directional sign noting that the trail to the peak was around to the right.

The trail headed up over the 13k ridge behind the research facility enroute to the peak. The ridge had this observatory at its apex.

A first look at White Mounatin Peak as I gained the ridge. A long trek across the bowl lay ahead and I made good time heading downhill from the ridge.

Down at the bottom of the hill with the summit a little closer. A bit of snow on the trail in places and a steady ~20mph wind.
