Looking down at Guitar Lake. Looks like we were just on the edge of the snow line and it was probably a beautiful warm day further down in Crabtree.

The last leg up to the Whitney trail junction. 1-2 feet of snow up here. We were overjoyed to find a party resting at Trail Crest after having broken the trail up the far side. They opted not to attempt the summit and we all started down together.

Heading down the 99 switchbacks as visibility deteriorates. This side had as much or more snow than the far side, but the snow gradually turned into wet slush by the bottom of the switchbacks.
